New Alumni Representatives Join Association Leadership
Four alumni have been elected to serve the Walla Walla College Alumni Association. The alumni were chosen in June by mail ballot.
Barbara Bigger will serve as president elect. After one year in this position, she will then serve a one-year term as president and one year as Alumni Association Board chair.
Bigger attended Walla Walla College as an English major from 1963 to 1966. She holds a masters degree from Andrews University. Since 1984 she has been the manager of the College Store.
Mark Tessier will serve as association
treasurer. Tessier, a 1981 business administration graduate, is a realtor
in the Walla Walla Valley.
Two alumni were elected to serve three-year terms on the Alumni Association
Board.
Rick Claridge graduated in 1976 with majors in business administration and industrial education. He has served on the College Place City Council and is the current president of Blue Mountain Credit Union.
Susan Davis is a 1981 dietetics graduate. She lives in Spokane, Wash., and is the executive director of the Upper Columbia Academy (UCA) Foundation and associate director of uca alumni and development. Davis is attending pharmacology school at Washington State University.
Alumni continuing terms as board members are Ron Fleck, a 1965 graduate; Joe Galusha, a 1968 graduate; Julie Sanders Keymer, a 1993 graduate; Dan Matthews, a 1957 graduate; and Ron Wilkinson, a 1978 graduate.
The boards ex officio members include Corina Car, wwc alumni relations director and a 1995 graduate; Jon Dybdahl, wwc president; David Gilham, association president and a 1973 graduate; Karen Johnson, vice president for college advancement; board chair James Sadoyama, a 1952 graduate; Manford Simcock, vice president for financial administration; and Charlene Walker, association secretary and 1978 graduate.
