WWC Named Among Top Regional Universities

Walla Walla College ranks in the top tier of colleges and universities included in U.S.News & World Report’s 2005 edition of “America's Best Colleges.”

The publication ranks wwc 34th out of the 63 colleges and universities that are also considered top category schools in the Western United States. wwc is included in the 17-state Western region in the category of “Universities—Master’s.”

“We’re pleased to see Walla Walla College in the top category of Western master’s level universities,” says Ginger Ketting-Weller, acting president of wwc. “While this report is just one of many ways to assess our performance, it is affirming news about the good things happening at our school.”

Nationwide, the guide ranks 572 universities in the “Universities—Master’s” category. Walla Walla College was compared with 124 other universities in the Western region. 

Another college survey, taken by The Princeton Review, named wwc a “Best Western College” for 2005. The survey features the opinions of thousands of students about 708 schools. Walla Walla College is showcased in the Western category of The Best Colleges: Region by Region, a Web feature at PrincetonReview.com. This feature focuses on the best colleges in five regions: Northeastern, Western, Southeastern, Midwestern, and Mid-Atlantic.
