A Message for All WWC Vietnam War Veterans

When I first contemplated a Westwind story about how Vietnam affected Walla Walla College and its students, I knew I'd have trouble deciding what to include. Six magazine pages to tell this story wouldn't be much. In the end I chose to tell the story of three men who served as medics. Much more could be told, as you can see from just the few selections we've posted on this new Westwind Online.

I'm writing this message to let you know that you can add to this story. Whether you served in active or inactive duty, please write to me and tell me about your experience. Besides details about your service duty, I welcome your personal reflections. How has your life been affected by the Vietnam era? If not, why do you think it hasn't? How has it affected your values or spiritual life? Has it affected your attitude toward your church? What you you like others to gain from hearing about your experience? With your permission, I may include your story in the next Westwind Online edition.

You may write to me via email or through the contact information accessible on the home page.

I hope your experiences and reflections will help us all better understand those times, especially since your numbers are few. Thank you.
