COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT



Associate Professor Communication Jim Hannum cuts the celebratory
ribbon at the entrance to the James C. Hannum Studio. The new studio is one of the features of the department's new home in the Canaday Technology Center. The studio was named to honor Hannum for his years of service to the department.

 


LuAnn Venden, assistant professor of English, and Marilyn Loveless,
assistant professor, take the stage during the dedication of the Donnie
Rigby Stage in 2001. The new black box theater is located in the
Canaday Technology Center.

 

KGTS STUDIO


Opening into a spacious parking lot behind the Canaday Technology
Center, a new entrance into the building welcomes visitors to the new
KGTS studios. The station was moved from the Administration Building in
the spring.

 

 

 

 

 

 



The main studio now provides a comfortable and roomy setting for KGTS
announcers.

 



President Jon Dybdahl and his wife, Kathy, were among the guests at the
dedication of the KGTS studios during Alumni Weekend in April 2003. A
central work area, pictured here is surrounded by offices and the
studios.

 



Equipment for interviews are set up permanently in one of the station's
studios. W
