BUETTNER—Dorothy E. (Syme) att., was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Cheyenne, Wyo., and died April 30, 2001, in Shawana, Wis. Surviving: husband Victor of Clintonville, Wis.; sons Reggie of Tigerton, Wis., and Dwayne of Clintonville; daughters Darla Giver of Marinette, Wis., and Colleen Berger of Wilson, Mich.; father Homer Syme of Portland, Ore.; brother Ed Syme att., of Medford, Ore.; and sisters Selma Wolfswinkel ’68 of Vancouver, Wash., Ethel Rieley att., of Portland, Bernita Leahey att., of Caldwell, Idaho, and Doris Syme ’54 of Pasadena, Calif.

CLARAMBEAU—Lyle ’67 was born July 2, 1924, in Ellendale, Minn., and died Nov. 3, 2000, in Creston, British Columbia, Canada. Surviving: wife Florence of Porthill, Idaho; son Delmer of Chester Gap, Va.; and daughter Chelle of Las Vegas, Nev.

EKLUND—John Edward att., was born July 25, 1939, in Mountain Grove, Mo., and died Aug. 14, 2000, in Burbank, Calif. Surviving: wife Kathy of Granada Hills, Calif.; sons John W. and Justin Stafford, both of Granada Hills; daughters Laura Coon of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Jeana Stabile of Broomfield, Colo.; mother Edna of Richland, Wash.; brother James D. ’72 of Mattawa, Wash.; and sister Barbara Burke of Glens Ferry, Idaho.

HANSON—(Merlin) Robert att., was born April 5, 1933, and died March 1, 2001, in Seattle, Wash. Surviving: mother Nellie of Brewster, Wash.; and sister Marion of Wenatchee, Wash.

IRLAND—David Gary att., was born Dec. 2, 1977, in Portland, Ore., and died Oct. 22, 2001, in Portland. Surviving: father Gary ’77, mother Nancy att., brother Marc, and sister Holly, all of Hillsboro, Ore.

LANG—H. Maurice att., was born Jan. 15, 1932, in Venice, Calif., and died May 24, 2001, in Redding, Calif. Surviving: wife Helen of Whitmore, Calif.; daughters Leanna Renee Fredrich ’86 of Littleton, Colo., Yolanda Sue Hall ’87 of Damascus, Ore., and Lynelle Melissa Weldon of Berrien Springs, Mich.; brother Donald Jacob att., of Loma Linda, Calif.; and sister Margaret Flower White att., of Grass Valley, Calif.

LEINBACH—Iva May (Arkell) att., was born Aug. 4, 1914, in Pendleton, Ore., and died Nov. 9, 2001, in Milton-Freewater, Ore. Surviving: husband Elwood of Milton-Freewater; sons Larry of Milton-Freewater and Lynn of Eugene, Ore.; brothers Don and Bill, both of Pendleton, Ore., and Jerry of Lincoln City, Ore.; and daughter Sue Etter of Pilot Rock, Ore.

MARTONICK—Betty Jean (Maxson) ’63 was born Nov. 8, 1923, in Walla Walla, and died Oct. 21, 2001, in Walla Walla. Surviving: sons Mike of Arlington, Wash., Steve att., of Moscow, Idaho, Greg, and Elmer; and brother Bruce Maxson of Walla Walla.

MATHAUDHU—Sukhdev Singh ’70 was born Sept. 11, 1946, in India, and died Oct. 2, 2001, in Loma Linda, Calif. Surviving: wife Veena Chand of Riverside, Calif.; sons Suveen ’98 of Bryan, Texas, and Suneel; brothers Ranbir of Atlanta, Ga., and HarKirat of India; sisters Sarabjitn Kaeer of England and Inderjit of India.

PEARSON—Josephine (Thompson) ’47 was born Dec. 17, 1913, in Bloomington, Neb., and died Oct. 2, 2001, in Portland, Ore. Surviving: son Thomas of Des Moines, Wash.; daughters Dorothy Jane Pearson Cupino ’73 of Orwigsburg, Pa., and Beryl Jean Pearson Haarsma ’73 of Portland; and sister Elda Mae Thompson Reichard ’43 of Spring Valley, Ohio.

PERRY—Hazel M. (Waters) att., was born May 16, 1922, in Lincoln, Neb., and died July 29, 2001, in Frederick, Md. Surviving: sons Bill of San Jose, Calif., and Richard of Indianapolis, Tenn.; daughters Ruth Perry Zerne of Tunnel Hill, Ga., and Marilyn (Perry) Freeland of State College, Pa.; brothers David Waters of Redmond, Ore., Herbert Waters of Battle Ground, Wash., Ralph Waters of San Francisco, Calif., and George Waters of Redmond; and sisters Juanita Tupper att., of Auburn Wash., Ruby Waters Sanders of Rice, Wash., and Myrtle Waters Sumerlin att., of Canyonville, Ore.

PROSH—Norine (Brusch) ’39 was born April 16, 1917, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and died June 17, 2001, in Brookings, S.D. Surviving: husband Harold ’38 of Lake Benton, Minn.; and daughter Marilyn Bieker.

RICE—Catherine J. McGuire att., was born Dec. 9, 1943, in Weslaco, Texas, and died Nov. 20, 2000, in Chico, Calif. Surviving: husband Rodney of Chico; sons John Scott of Marysville, Calif., and Steve Scott of Paradise, Calif.; daughter Kelly Merrill of Chico; brother Ken McGuire of Paradise; and sister F. Jean Hardt of Paradise.

STANDLEY—Anita (Studebaker) ’53 was born Oct. 10, 1921, and died Oct. 17, 2000, in Antiock, Calif. Surviving: husband Charles P. ’52 of Lakeport, Calif.; son Dale of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers Glen of Napa, Calif., and George of Lakeport, Calif.

TOPHAM—Marlin Jacob att., was born April 9, 1951, in Sedro Woolley, Wash., and died Sept. 7, 2001, in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. Surviving: wife Leanne ’73 of Vernon; son Troy of Vernon; daughter Janessa of Vernon; mother Bernice; and brother Miles att., of Phoenix, Ariz.

TRAINER—John E. att., was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Buffalo, Wyo., and died Nov. 8, 1999, in Burns, Ore. Surviving: son Wes Keith att., of Burns; and daughter Jolene LeAnn Juhl ’79 of Greenbush, Minn.

TRAINER—Margaret (Ausmus) att., was born March 15, 1933 in Burns, Ore., and died May 8, 2000, in Bend, Ore. Surviving: son Wes Keith att., of Burns; daughter Jolene LeAnn Juhl ’79 of Greenbush, Minn.; and sisters Louise Bamberry Watts of Princeton, Ore., Donna Avery Fincher of Summerville, Ore, and Arlene Harris of Fairfield, Mont.

WAGNER—Edward D. ’42 was born June 28, 1919, in Eureka, S.D., and died April 21, 2001, in Redlands, Calif. Surviving: wife Ellen (Greenway) att., of Calimesa, Calif.; son E. Gregory of Yucaipa, Calif; daughters Patrice Villanueva of Colton, Calif., and Lynette of Bizbee, Ariz.; and brother Aaron ’43 of Denair, Calif.
