Uniquely Walla Walla College

Enjoy a light-hearted journey
through years of unique events, people, and
stories by taking our Walla Walla College trivia quiz. As a longtime WWC staff
member who has written pages and pages about the college, even I learned a
few new tidbits.
Here is a question that didn’t make it into the trivia quiz: What year did WWC raise the most money ever from its alumni and friends? The answer: 2004-05. Last year WWC received more than $11 million in total gifts. The names of all the people who helped achieve this remarkable sum are named in this issue’s giving report.
Many of these gifts supported the Faith in the Vision campaign, which the college concluded in January. Look for a final report in the next issue of Westwind about how this campaign has renewed the campus.
Also in the next issue, we’ll debut a new look for the
magazine. Fresh contents and an updated design will make Westwind better than
ever. And you can help! One of our goals is to include more reader contributions,
including letters to the editor. So we’ll be looking to you.
