ANDERSON—R. Allen att., was born March 12, 1949, in Malden, Mass., and died May 7, 2004, in Clayton, Wash. Surviving: wife Sylvia ’83 of Clayton; son Lucas of Clayton; daughters Heather and Katherine of Clayton; brother Don of Tacoma, Wash.; and sisters Georgia of Chehalis, Wash., Debi of Tacoma, Gail Tangle of Albuquerque, N.M., and Denise Grunert of Rochester, Wash.

BERTLESON—Glen T. ’53 was born Dec. 7, 1919, in Ontario, Ore., and died May 5, 2004, in Nampa, Idaho. Surviving: wife Leta of Nampa; sons Douglas ’75, of Pasadena, Calif., Ron of Moscow, Idaho, Ted ’78 of Boise, Idaho, Bob Daniels att., of Graham, Wash., and Joe Daniels of Nampa; daughters Teresa (Morse) ’80 of Pocatello, Idaho, June (Daniels) Gardner att., of Hillsboro, Ore., Mary Kelley of Caldwell, Idaho, and Ann Munroe of Eugene, Ore.

BUNCH—Richard H. ’63 was born June 30, 1941, in Moscow, Idaho, and died Oct. 7, 2003, in Vancouver, Wash. Surviving: wife Joan (Bergren) att., of Vancouver; daughters Teresa Edmiston, and Jeanette Wirth, both of Vancouver; son Andy of Vancouver; father William and mother Jeanette of College Place; brother Bob of Salem Ore.; and sister Judy Bunch-Ault att., of College Place.

CHITWOOD—David ’77 was born June 5, 1953, in Juneau, Alaska, and died Sept. 19, 2004, in Mountain Home, Idaho. Surviving: son Jonathan of Weimar, Calif.; daughter Laura of Angwin, Calif.; sisters Jo Anne Nowack of North Plains, Ore., and Jennifer McNiel of Woodbury, Tenn.; and parents Howard and Dolores of Mountain Home.

EDWARDS—Harold ’45 was born June 17, 1919, in Norfolk, Neb., and died April 5, 2001, in Salem, Ore. Surviving: wife Violet (Budd) att., of Salem; daughters Kathleen of Houston, Texas, Gloria McLaughlin of Claremont, Calif., Rosalyn LaDuca of Woodinville, Wash., and Darla Sheret of Agoura Hills, Calif.; and sons Laurence of Potomac Falls, Vt., and Terence of Salem.

FULTON—Robert att., was born Dec. 16, 1913, in Portland, Ore., and died Feb. 6, 2004, in Portland. Surviving: wife Arleen of Gladstone, Ore.; son Alan of Salem, Ore.; and daughter Ann Larrabee ’76 of Sandy, Ore.

GIARDE—Jerry att., was born Jan. 18, 1963, in Walla Walla, and died March 7, 2004, in Milton-Freewater, Ore. Surviving: parents Paul and June of College Place; and brother Raymond of College Place.

HIEBERT—Joy (Foster) ’62 was born July 19, 1940, in The Dalles, Ore., and died April 1, 2004, in Kelso, Wash. Surviving: daughters Twila of Eugene, Ore., and Natalie of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother Robert att.; and sisters Marie Johansen att., of Portland, Ore., and Brenda Biles of Santa Cruz, Calif.

KELLN—David ’32 was born Oct. 20, 1903, in Unterdorf, Saratov Province, Russia, and died March 2, 2004, in Monroe, Wash. Surviving: wife Margaret of Monroe; and sons Merwin of Pasco, Wash., Norman of Spokane, Wash., and Wayne of Granite Falls, Wash.

KITES—Daniel Clayton att., was born April 28, 1935, in Salem, Ore., and died Aug. 21, 2003, in Pendleton, Ore. Surviving: wife Laurine (Wright) ’61 of Pendleton; daughter Lynnette Miller att., of Pendleton; sons Ken of Richland, Wash., LaVern ’86 of Vancouver, Wash.; and brothers Frederick of Salem, Glen of Redmond, Ore., and Melvin of Corvallis, Ore.

LOOP—Merlin ’55 was born Dec. 27, 1929, in Mt. Vernon, Wash., and died April 18, 2004, in Wildomar, Calif. Surviving: wife Patricia (Keck) ’56 of Tucson, Ariz.; son Douglas ’88 of Wildomar; and sister Bethel att., of Glendale, Calif.

MEHLING—Robert R. ’44 was born April 15, 1919, in Hardin, Mont., and died March 8, 2004, in Ooltewah, Tenn. Surviving: wife Irene of Collegedale, Tenn.; son Douglas of Tyler, Texas; daughter Donna Ehrlich of Collegedale; brothers Bert att., of Tacoma, Wash., Bill att., of Portland, Ore., John att., of Ryderwood, Wash., and Sam of Tacoma, Wash.; and sisters Clara Toews ’46 of San Diego, Calif., Lillian Stutz ’61 of Burlington, Wash., and Vera Robertson ’45 of Longview, Wash.

MILES—Lydia “Juanita” (Roderick) was born Nov. 6, 1905, in Medina, N.D., and died April 10, 2004, in College Place. During the 40 years she lived in College Place, she housed scores of WWC students in her home. Surviving: daughters Adella Ashbaugh ’61 of Shelton, Wash., Ardis McPherson att., of College Place, and Dawn Kerbs att., of Vancouver, Wash.

NICHOLS—Ardis L. (Jorgensen) ’56 was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Detroit Lakes, Mich., and died May 21, 2003, in Grand Terrace, Calif. Surviving: husband Glenn of Grand Terrace; son David of Riverside, Calif.; daughter Delaine Schnieder of Grand Terrace; mother Margaret Schultz of Visalia, Calif.; and sisters Bernice (Gronemyer) att., of Modesto, Calif., Joyce Babcock of Medford, Ore., and Doris Shepherd of Woodlake, Calif.

REYNOLDS—Ethel Ellen (Smith) att., was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Tonasket, Wash., and died Jan. 27, 2004, in College Place. Surviving: husband Emil att., of College Place; sons Dean ’78 of North Hollywood, Calif., and Ronald ’71 of Battle Ground, Wash.; daughter Cheryl Weis ’75 of College Place; and brothers Donald of Porterville, Calif., Robert of Riverdale, Calif., and Stanley att., of Walla Walla.

SCHMIEDESKAMP—Beverly (Bauraine) ’41 was born June 29, 1918, in Green Bay, Wis., and died Nov. 27, 2003, in Tigard, Ore. Surviving: son Ashley att., of Anchorage, Alaska.

TEAGUE—Larry ’78 was born May 8, 1948, in Medford, Ore., and died March 10, 2004, in Salem, Ore. Surviving: wife Marilyn of Silverton, Ore.; sons Aaron of Thailand, Derrick of Keizer, Ore., and Jeremy of Newport Richey, Fla.; daughter Julie Kraemer of Vancouver, Wash.; father Harold of Cave Junction, Ore.; mother Louise of Grants Pass, Ore.; and brother Leon of Merced, Calif.

WALTER—Mary K. (Folkes) ’46 and ’52 was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Hamburg, Iowa, and died March 20, 2002, in Gladstone, Ore. Surviving: daughters Rose Marie att., of Walla Walla, and Kathryn Frost of Lafayette, Ore.; and sister Leola Freeman att., of Martinez, Calif.

WENTLAND—Ernest ’54 was born June 11, 1926, in Beach, N.D., and died Sept. 27, 2004, in Mill Creek, Wash. Surviving: sisters May Woods of Boise, Idaho, and Violet ’54 of Woodinville, Wash.
