 “The only reason I exist on this planet is Walla Walla College,” says Gary, whose parents met at WWC in the 1930s. “The only reason I have Udell as a wonderful companion is Walla Walla College. We have so much to be thankful for.” Gary and Udell are enthusiastic about WWC and promote it in big and small ways, from hosting fundraising dinners to wearing WWC

T-shirts. “I need a reason to get up in the morning. It isn’t all work and make money and die. We have to do something to make a difference,” says Gary. “Working for the college enriches my life everywhere I turn,” he adds.
